NEW CABINET SIMPLY RE-SHUFFLES THE DECK CHAIRS ON THE M/V STELMACH

Edmonton, AB (January 13, 2010): Today, Danielle Smith (Leader, Wildrose Alliance Party) and the party caucus said Premier Stelmach's cabinet shuffle won't make a real difference for Albertans.
"You can change the faces of the deck crew, but Albertans will only see real change when the Wildrose Alliance replaces this tired, rudderless government," stated Smith.
"The Premier and his crew of loyalists are the ones responsible for all of his government's unpopular and destructive policies," said Smith.
"Changing cabinet will not chart a new course. Each member of Stelmach's crew has endorsed the crippling royalty regime, the passage of Bill 50 and the erosion of property rights, disastrous health care changes and all of the other poor PC policies that have taken Alberta way off course." Smith added.
"For the sake of Albertans and their future, we hope this shuffle will get the province back on a safe course, but we believe that only a Wildrose government can give them that kind of hope. In the meantime, the Wildrose Alliance continues to focus on building a big tent, mainstream, small c-conservative alternative, listening to Albertans and developing a forward thinking vision for our province," concluded Smith.
